- Glass Cockpit Aviation is the only American FAA flight school, based in France, on the exceptional site of Cannes Mandelieu, (LFMD), exclusively dedicated to the obtention of FAA pilot licences and FAA training.

Born from a long experience as an FTO (Flight Training organisation) in Europe and the USA, Glass Cockpit  Aviation brings you the American practicality and efficiency without compromising safety.

Glass Cockpit Aviation team combines thousand of flight hours and tens of successfully trained pilots. GCA's flight instructors are all FAA certified,  qualified for all FAA licences flight training.

For too long, in Europe, the instrument rating has remained the priviledge of airline pilots, their flight schools and training syllabus. Most of the private pilots who looked into private IFR have given up when discovering the workload associated with the European written exams, totally unadapted for the private pilot.

However, for an equal number of hours flown, there are three times less accidents in General Aviation in the USA than in Europe. The reason is simple: The vast majority of private pilots are Instrument rated which allows them not only to fly in marginal weather but to aquire the flying qualities associated with that training.


The Instrument Rating offered by Glass Cockpit Aviation Europe is totaly adapted for the private pilots flying in Europe.  Essentially based on safety, this training is however exempt from the knowledge required from futur airline pilots.

Resolutely pragmatic the IFR training offered by Glass Cockpit Aviation is proposed in phases, intensive courses, in full respect of the programmes established by the Federal Aviation Administration.
