Using your FAA Intrument rating. |
| |
Once your licence obtained you will be able to fly IFR the world over as a pilot in command of an « N »ovember registered aircraft. The American pragmatism makes it very easy for you to maintain your IFR rating, constantly validated by your own IFR flying!
For the aircraft owners, Glass Cockpit Aviation recommends the "November" registration of aircrafts. |

Several options are available for you to obtain your Instrument rating, based on your experience :
- - You already hold an JAA Private pilot licence and wish to add an Instrument rating qualification to it. A simple certification * procedure will allow you to obtain an FAA "foreign based" licence. This licence will be valid as long as your JAA licence is valid.
- - You do not have previous aeronautical experience or you prefer to hold licences exclusively "FAA" (recommended by Glass Cockpit Aviation), You will then hold an FAA licence, independant from any other, which will remain valid with all of its ratings, regardless of your other licences, even if there expired.
